Description of Species |
Small trees up to10 m tall. Stem simple, with stipulate scars helically arranged.Leaf palmate. Flower in clusters, sessile; calyx small; corolla tube long, creamy yellow. Stamens 10, in two whorls. Stigma lobes fimbriate, c. 6 mm long. Fruit large spherical or pyriform usually, turning yellow or orange with yellow or orange flesh. Seeds black, wrinkled, oval in shape.
