Description of Species | An evergreen or semievergreen woody tree, up to 40 m tall; Bark nearly smooth, grayish brown to brown, contains a red milky sap that becomes a resinous semi-solid when dried. Leaves trifoliate, rarely palmate; Leaflet papery, ovate, elliptic, subovate, or elliptic-ovate, pointed and broadly wedge-shaped to obtuse at base, with two to three teeth per centimeter along the serrated margin. Flower small greenish-yellow, borne on dioecious panicles in leaf axils. Male inflorescence pubescent to glabrous; female inflorescence pendant.
