Description of Species Evergreen shrubs; branches glandular. Leaves, subsessile, 2.5 – 12 cm long, oblanceolate, subapiculate, base cuneate, margins entire or revolute. Flowers ca 2 mm across, greenish – yellow, in short terminal panicles. Sepals 5. Petals absent. Stamens usually 8. Disc obsolete in the male flowers, small in female flowers. Ovary 3 – 4 loculed. Capsule compressed, 2 – 4 valved, each valve with an oblong membranous, broad, rounded wing; seeds black, without an aril, lenticular or subglobose.
