Description of Species Perennial, twiners. Leaves ovate to orbicular in outline, deeply 5 – 7 palmately lobed; each lobe ovate – elliptic or lanceolate, narrowed at both ends, retuse or mucronate at apex, entire; basal one often obliquely 2 – partite. Flowers purple or rarely white, in 1 – 3 flowered, pedunculate cymes. Calyx 4 – 7 mm long; sepals unequal, ovate, mucronate or obtuse. Corolla white or purple with red – purple inside, broadly funnel – shaped. Fruits subglobose, smooth; seeds white – pubescent.
