Thonry, straggling, tomentose shrubs; branches zigzag, flexuose, armed with twin stipular prickles; one straight, slender, other shorter, bent down. Leaves shortly petioled, ovate to orbicular, 1.8-2.4 cm long, serrate, dark-green above, pale-green tomentose beneath. Flowers in axillary, sessile, short compact cymes; pedicels longer than peduncles. Petals obovate, with convolute margins. Disc 10-lobed, with a pit opposite each lobe. Ovary two celled; styles 2, united to above the middle. Drupes globose, about 8 mm across, shining red or black when ripe. |
