Deciduous trees, upto 18 m tall. Bark thick, white or whitish-grey, smooth, lenticellate, scurfy, exfoliating in thin flakes, blaze yellow. Leaves simple, opposite, estipulate; leaf-.lamina pinnate. Flowers bisexual, yellow with orange-pink shade, in terminal panicles; calyx campanulate; corolla bilabiate. Fruit a drupe ovoid, pulpy, pyrene bonny, ovoid with a deep depression, yellow seeds 2-4, elliptic. |
