Description of Species | Shrubs, up to 3 m tall, usually deciduous; bark smooth, brown pubescent. Leaves opposite, broadly ovate or elliptic, acuminate at apex. Flowers born with leaves white, mostly on terminal or less commonly on axillary brachy. Calyx funnel-shaped, hardly projecting above the disc, limb minutely 5-7 lobed. Corolla pubescent, tube cylindric, lobes 5, ovate or elliptic, acute or obtuse. Stamens inserted below the throat of the corolla tube.
