Description of Species Annual or perennial undershrubs, glabrate or stellarely hairy. Leaves variable in shape and size, ovate to oblong, more less rhomboid, ovoid or lanceolate, 2 – 5 x 1 – 4 cm, cuneate or rounded at base, serrate to crenate towards upper half, minutely stellate – pubescent on both survaces; stipules filiform. Flowers pedicel 1 – 2 cm long jointed above the middle. Calyx campanulate, lobes triangular to ovate, acuminate. Corolla yellow to light orange; petals broadly ovoid, almost equal to sepals in length. Staminal column 5 – 6 mm long, included. Mericarps 6 – 12 with 2 short hairy awns; seeds smooth, flattened, brown or black.
