Description of Species Shrubs or small trees, to 8 m high, with dark grey thin bark; branches spreading. Leaves obliquely, ovate-lanceolate, 5-6-10 x 23.5 cm, acuminate, crenate-serrate, more or less scabrid above, silky pubescent beneath; petioles 6-12 mm long. Flowers small, in axillary cymes; cymes lax, spreading, pubescent, exceeding petioles. Perianth lobes 4-5, elliptic-lacneolate. Stamens 5, longer than perianth lobes. Drupes ovoid, glabrous; black when ripe. Leaf Details Leaves obliquely, ovate-lanceolate, acuminate, crenate-serrate, more or less scabrid above, silky pubescent beneath; petioles 6-12 mm long.
