Evergreen, erect shrubs, upto 1 m high; branchlets and leaf stalk rusty pubescent. Leaves subsessile, lanceolate, ovate or obovate, sharply toothed with red glands. Flowers subsessile, white or pink-red, dioecious, in axillary, 4-8 flowered clusters. Calyx 4 lobed. Corolla 4 lobed, glandular. Stamens 4, with purple anthers. Fruit a berry, globose, red to dark-purple, dotted with red glands, 1-seeded. |
