Shrub up to 5 m tall, with reddish stems. Leaves tiny scale-like, stalkless, ovate or triangular heart-shaped, pointed, somewhat stem-clasping. Flower pale pink to white small, perfect and regular, and arranged in numerous spike-like racemes. Bracts ovate, triangular, acute, long-pointed with toothed margin especially in their lower parts. Fruit a capsule trigonous, splitting open by 3 longitudinal slits. |
