Deciduous shrubs or small trees; branches more or less straggling; young shoots rusty-tomentose; bark thin, brownish-grey; prickesl usually in pair, one straight, other recurved. Leaves broadly ellipitc, obovate, crenate-serrae, base subcordate, pubescent on the nerves above, lower surface pubescent. Flowers about 3 mm across, yellowish-green, in dense axillary pubescent cymes. Disc thin, 5- angled. Ovary usually 3-celled; styles 3, almost free. Fruit a drupe greenish-yellow, dry. |
