A much branched, spiny shrub. Branches woody, the young ones pubescent-downy. Leaves 3-foliolate; leaflets obovate, cuneate, sinuate-toothed or sublobed, with a few scattered hairs above, softly pubescent beneath; terminal leaflet sessile or shortly petioluled, much larger than the lateral ones; lateral leaflets sessile, much smaller than the terminal. Flowers in terminal and axillary, branched, pubescent panicles, polygamous; bracts linear, pubescent; calyx pubescent outside, much shorter than the petals, lobes ovate; corolla oblong, subacute, glabrous, glabrous. Fruit a drupe, subglobose, brown, glabrous, shining. |
