Evergreen trees, up to 20 m high, with rough bark. Leaves ovate-lanceolate, or oblong-lanceolate, long acuminate entire or undulate, base cuneate, glabrous; lateral nerves with glands at their axils. Flowers cream-white in terminal and axillary, compound cymes. Calyx truncate, 4-toothed. Corolla deeply divided; lobes 4, elliptic, spreading. Fruit a drupe, oblique, ellipsoid, purplish-black when ripe. |
