Suberect or straggling, deciduous undershrubs, base woody, up to 2 m high. Leaves ovate-lanceolate, acute, entire, rounded at base, white punctate beneath; petioles with 2 basal caduceus auricles. Flowers white, in lax often branched, glandular spicate-racemes. Calyx tubular, 5-toothed, viscid hairy. Corolla white, tubular, lobes 5. Stamens 5, free. Ovary superior, narrowed at the apex; style slender with 5-stigmose branches. Fruit a capsule oblong, acute, with persistent calyx. |
