Description of Species | A proliferous shrubby cactus. Stem columnar, shortly 4 – to 6 – angled with the ribe covered with clusters of sharp, unequal spines; barbed bristles absent. Leaves modified to sharp unequal clusters of spines. Flowers white, sessile, solitary, funnel shaped. Tepals numerous, unequal, spirally arranged. Stamens numerous.
