| Description of Species | Deciduous, shrubs or small trees, 4 – 10 m high, twigs and branches smooth, with sharp thorns. Bark pale grey. Leaves oblong – elliptic, oblanceolate, 2.5 – 6.5 x 1 – 3.5 cm ,base narrowed to a short petiole. Flowers scarletred or orange, companulate, 3.5 -4.5 cm long, usually solitary or 2 – 3 together.
