Description of Species Deciduous trees, up to 10 m high. Bark thick, grayish, smooth. Leaves elliptic-obovate, 8-16 x 3.5-9.5 cm, often unequal sided, subacute or acuminate or obtuse, entire, cuneate-rounded at base. Flowers 5-9 mm across, white, fragrant, in axillary or terminal dichotomous, scorpioid cymes. Calyx pubescent, deeply lobed, lobes ovate, acute. Corolla rotate, lobes small, oblong, obtuse, reflexed.
