Description of Species |
Deciduoustree upto 35 m tall; trunk with small buttresses; bark thin, grayish brown; branches horizontally spreading, flattened becoming subterete, glabrescent. Petiole glabrous; leaf blade drying thinly leathery, elliptic or oblong-elliptic, on juvenile growth adaxi- ally shiny and glabrous, abaxially glabrous to densely puberu- lent, apex acute; inflorescences with, rather stout; flowering; calyx puberulent to pilosulous; corolla yellowish white, funnelform, outside glabrous; fruiting heads yellowish green, with peduncles markedly thickened. Fruit capsule, cylindrical to ellipsoid or obovoid, seeds 3- angled. |
